Enderby to show Cliff Avenue concept at open house

ENDERBY – Enderby is showing off a future concept for Cliff Avenue; a central commercial and community area in the North Okanagan city.

“Cliff Avenue is an important part of our downtown and is also the gateway to Mabel Lake,” says Mayor Greg McCune in a media release. “As our infrastructure on this street is at the end of its lifecycle, we knew that this was our year to take a bold step forward.”

An open house has been scheduled for Jan. 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Enderby council chambers. Firms working on the architecture and engineering aspects will have representatives attending to answer questions.

Enderby is aiming to celebrate the importance of the Shuswap River to the city, while pedestrian safety will be prioritized.

Once finished it is expected the area will host “cultural and social events.”
