Kelowna public information session on drones and UAVs

KELOWNA – The Kelowna and District Flying Club, in cooperation with the Okanagan College Commercial Aviation Program, Nav Canada and the Kelowna International Airport, is pleased to present an upcoming Public Information Session on Drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

This session will be of interest to anyone who owns and operates a drone or UAV in a commercial, recreational or service capacity, and to those curious about privacy issues surrounding drone operation in residential and emergency areas. 

Our panel of experts will share how drones and UAVs are currently being used, existing regulations and regulatory changes in the works, followed by a panel Q & A.

Panel experts include:

·      W.T. (Tim) Cole, Canadian Owners and Pilots Association;
·      Brian Nightingale, RCMP Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service;
·      Paul England, Nav Canada Site Manager; and,
·      Calvin Reich, Commercial Insurance Agent.

Tickets for the information session are free; however, pre-registration is required.
