Repairs to water main break continue

VERNON – Traffic continues to be slowed around the site of a water main break at 43 Street and 27 Avenue in Vernon as repairs continue.

The line broke Wednesday afternoon.  Crews with Greater Vernon Water isolated the damage quickly and began the work to fix it.

According to Tanya Laing Gahr with the City, the repairs should be finished by the end of the day Thursday.

One home is without water and the City is providing the homeowners with water until service is restored.

Flaggers are directing east and westbound traffic through the construction zone on 27 Avenue. Northbound traffic on 43 Street is being detoured east along 26 Avenue.
