Fallen tree causes power outage in Heffley Creek area

KAMLOOPS – A tree has fallen down across power lines near Heffley Creek cutting power to more than 1,600 customers.

A tree near Tod Mountain Road and Highway 5 fell across wires, causing the power to go out for 1,666 customers in the Heffley Creek to Sun Peaks area just before 4 p.m.

B.C. Hydro crews arrived on scene approximately an hour later, along with eight firefighters.
