Hachette announces departures of 2 executives

NEW YORK – A longtime Hachette Book Group executive who has worked with Jon Stewart, Amy Sedaris and many other top-selling authors is stepping down in January.

Hachette announced Monday that Jamie Raab, president and publisher of the Grand Central Publishing division, is leaving after 30 years with the company. Raab said in a statement that she had had a “terrific career,” but that it was time to step down.

Hachette also announced that Deb Futter, head of the Twelve imprint, is leaving in January. Futter’s authors included Scott Turow, Steve Martin and Barbara Ehrenreich.

Replacements for Raab and Futter have not yet been determined, according to Hachette.
