RCMP investigate early morning shooting in Surrey, B.C., that injured one man

SURREY, B.C. – A man is being treated for gunshot wounds as RCMP investigate a shooting in Surrey, B.C.

Police say they responded to a report of shots fired just after 2 a.m. in the Morgan Creek neighbourhood of southwest Surrey.

The injured man was located and taken to hospital for treatment but RCMP say his wounds are not life threatening.

Officers are canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses.

They describe the investigation as being in the early stages.

Police have not said if the shooting is considered random or targeted, or if there are any suspects.
