KELOWNA – A weekend assault in Kelowna has left a teenager from Armstrong in hospital in serious condition.
The 18-year-old boy was rushed to hospital at about 9:36 p.m., Saturday, May 9, after he was hit in the head with a blunt object during a fight between two groups of people in Rutland’s Davie Park.
Before the assault an argument had erupted between two groups, according to Cpl. Joe Duncan in a media release.

Neighbours told Global Okanagan a group of older teens was seen running into the park and one of them was carrying what looked like a heavy piece of pipe.
The victim remains in hospital with serious head injuries.
