What happens when bartenders are given a surprise selection of ingredients and asked to create a cocktail on the spot?

Kamloops residents can find out at Last Call – Black Box Competition, taking place Thursday, September 10, at TABLE twelvefifty.

The evening will put bartenders’ creativity to the test as they go head-to-head in a cocktail competition using mystery ingredients. Rather than knowing exactly what they will be working with ahead of time, competitors will have to think quickly and come up with original drinks using the surprise selection.

For guests, the competition is also a chance to be part of the judging process. Once the cocktails have been created, attendees will be able to sample the different drinks and cast their vote to help determine the winner.

The event is designed to be both a competition and a night out, giving guests the chance to try different cocktails while watching the bartenders work through the challenge.

Tickets are $50 and include tastings of all the competition cocktails, along with shared appetizers for the table. The event is being held in partnership with Born 2 Shake.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the cocktail competition running from 7 to 9 pm at TABLE twelvefifty, located at 1250 Rogers Way in Kamloops.
