After weeks of having higher gasoline prices than the Lower Mainland, prices at the pumps in Kamloops and the Okanagan are finally heading down.<\/p>\n

Some, especially in the Okanagan, are dropping below $1.50 for a litre of regular.<\/p>\n

While many stations in Kelowna were showing $1.62.9 on GasBuddy.com around noon today, Dec. 13, a few, including PetroCanada, Chevron and Shell stations, were down at $1.49.9. Costco, as usual, was cheapest at $1.41.9.<\/p>\n

Kamloops, so far, has not dropped as far with the local Costco selling for $1.49.9 and the lowest price in other stations coming in at $1.54.9. Last week, the price was at $1.62.9.<\/p>\n

Many stations in Vernon, which was at $1.53.9 last week, have dropped to $1.49.9 with a couple down to $1.45.9.<\/p>\n

The best price in Penticton was $1.50.9, according to GasBuddy.com.<\/p>\n

These prices are now lower than Vancouver, where many stations are at $1.55.9 this week. In the Fraser Valley, where the 18.5 cent per litre transit tax does not apply, prices are around $152.9 per litre.<\/p>\n

Last week, many Lower Mainland stations were selling for less than $1.50 a litre.<\/p>\n
