People in both vehicles escaped with minor injuries after a semi-truck collided with an SUV in a highway snowshed near Revelstoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BC RCMP said the Aug. 26 collision was likely caused by the tractor-trailer first hitting a concrete wall in the McDonald snowshed on the Trans-Canada Highway. It was pushed into the oncoming lane where it collided with an oncoming SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First responders were called to the scene around 11 a.m. and found people from both vehicles had just minor injuries, according to a BC RCMP news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collision forced a seven-hour closure as the debris was cleaned and police investigated the scene, concluding alcohol or drugs were not believed to be a factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
