Police are searching for witnesses to a collision just north of Vernon that left a cyclist with serious injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First responders were called to the scene on Highway 97 near Swan Lake Market and Garden around 2:30 p.m. on May 5, according to a press release from Vernon RCMP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A white Honda Accord was going south when a man on a bike tried to cross the highway. The cyclist rode right in front of the car and the driver couldn\u2019t avoid the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cyclist was seriously hurt and transported by BC Emergency Health Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
