RCMP have reopened the Overlanders Bridge in Kamloops to vehicles and pedestrians after an hour long closure due to a gun report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kamloops RCMP responded to a report about a man with a long gun around 2 p.m. today, April 11, in the area of Tranquille Road and Fortune Drive today, April 11, according to a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bridge was closed for roughly an hour as police investigated. The bridge is now open again but the investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian male who was wearing a backwards ball cap and a blue shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo one was located in the area matching the suspect\u2019s description and no further reports have been received.\u201d Kamloops RCMP media liaison officer Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
