A dirt biker badly injured in a crash near Little White Mountain south of Kelowna was rescued last night.<\/p>\n
Volunteers with Central Okanagan Search and Rescued were called at around 7 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 15, to find and rescue the injured biker, according to a media release from the group.<\/p>\n
Her leg was so badly injured, she was unable to ride or walk out of the area.<\/p>\n
The search group’s e-bike team arrived first to administer first aid and get her ready for extraction. She was taken to a waiting ambulance at around 2:15 a.m.<\/p>\n
"The group of three riders were well prepared, and able to communicate their location, keep their riding partner warm with a fire, and shelter her from the rain," search manager Rob Braun said in the release.<\/p>\n
It was Central Okanagan Search and Rescue’s 69th callout so far this year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
