A snowfall warning has been issued for Thursday afternoon through Friday morning by Environment Canada.<\/p>\n
It covers the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna.<\/p>\n
It’s expected that 15 to 20 centimetres of snow will fall.<\/p>\n
“An atmospheric river will bring heavy snow to the high elevation mountain passes beginning Thursday afternoon,” the warning says. “Gusty southwesterly winds will further reduce visibility in blowing snow.”<\/p>\n
The freezing level will rise above 2,000 metres Friday afternoon which will change the snow to rain, easing off Friday evening.<\/p>\n
