A fog advisory has ended for the Central Okanagan, including Kelowna.<\/p>\n
Environment Canada's lifted the fog advisory this morning, Jan. 11.<\/p>\n
However DriveB.C.<\/a> warns drivers of limited visibility due to fog on Highway 1 <\/strong>from Jackass Mountain Summit to Spences Bridge; on Highway 5<\/strong> from Little Fort to Avola; Highway 6EW<\/strong> from Vernon to Coldstream; Highway 97<\/strong> from Kelowna to Coldstream and between St. Annes Rd and Monte Creek; Highway 97A<\/strong> from Davidson Drive to the end of the highway; and Highway 97B<\/strong> from the start of the highway to Salmon Arm. <\/p>\n Charles Andres commutes to Armstrong from Sicamous via Highway 97A<\/strong>, and he reports that there were slippery sections throughout the drive this morning .<\/p>\n Looking at weather, Kamloops<\/a> is in for high of 2 Celsius and low of -1 C. Vernon<\/a> and Kelowna<\/a> will get a high of 1 C and low of -2 C. And in Penticton<\/a> temperatures will start at 1 C and warm up to 4 C by 5 p.m.<\/p>\n At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting 28 centimetres of snow over the two days week and an alpine snow base of 155 m. There’s been 1 cm of snow at Sun Peaks Ski Resort<\/a> and 7 cm over the 48 hours where there is an alpine base of 137 cm. The last significant snowfall at SilverStar Mountain Resort<\/a> was 5 cm on Dec. 30, and the alpine snow base is 155 cm.
