There were 24 cm of fresh snow recorded on the Coquihalla Highway<\/strong> from Hope to Merritt<\/strong> by 6 a.m. today, Jan. 24.<\/p>\n

That triggered an Environment Canada snowfall warning, which has since been ended by DriveBC<\/a>. Another 10 to 15 cm of snow was expected before it tapered off today.<\/p>\n

The B.C. Travellers Forecast<\/a> says the snowfall levels are near the valley bottoms and there will be gusty winds.<\/p>\n

Flurries with about 5 cm of snow are forecast today on the Coquihalla Highway from Merritt to Kamloops<\/strong> and on the Okanagan Connector,<\/strong> easing off late this evening.<\/p>\n

Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton<\/strong> can expect 5-10 cam of snow today.<\/p>\n

DriveBC<\/a> warns of slippery sections on Highway 1<\/strong> from 15 km east of Chase<\/strong> to 8 km west of Sicamous<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, on Highway 1, <\/strong>is expected to only have light snow ending late this morning then cloudy with a 40% chance of flurries.<\/p>\n

Kamloops<\/strong><\/a> residents can expect a high of 2 Celsius with a 60% chance of flurries or rain showers today and winds up to 15 km\/h.<\/p>\n

The high is expected to also reach 2 C in Kelowna<\/strong><\/a> and Vernon<\/strong><\/a> with a 30% chance of flurries changing to a 70% chance of flurries or rain showers this afternoon and winds up to 15 km\/h.<\/p>\n

Penticton<\/strong><\/a> could warm up to 4 C with a 30% chance of flurries late this morning and 30% chance of rain showers this afternoon and winds up to 20 km\/h this morning.<\/p>\n

Sun Peaks Ski Resort<\/strong><\/a> had no new snow in the last 24 hours leaving the hill with an alpine base of 152 cm. It’s -5 C.<\/p>\n

Silver Star Mountain Resort<\/strong><\/a> is -5 C, with no new snow in the last 24 hours and an alpine base of 176 cm.<\/p>\n

Big White Ski Resort<\/strong><\/a> had 1 cm of new snow in the last 24 hours, is -5 C and has an alpine base of 187 cm.<\/p>\n

Apex Mountain Resort<\/strong><\/a> had no new snow in the last 24 hours but has an alpine base of 168 cm and is -5 C.<\/p>\n
