It's going to be another cold day in Kamloops and the Okanagan. <\/p>\n
A special weather statement by Environment Canada regarding unseasonably cold weather in Southern B.C. came to an end this morning. However it is still going to be a cold day – Kamloops<\/a> will get a high of -6 Celsius and low of -10 C. Vernon<\/a> and Kelowna<\/a> are both in for a high of -4 C and low of -10 C. And Penticton<\/a> will get a high of -2 C and low of -9 C. Above-freezing temperatures are not in the forecast until Feb. 2.<\/p>\n DriveB.C.<\/a> is reporting Highway 1<\/strong> has slippery sections between Chase and Sicamous; Highway 3<\/strong> has slippery sections from Hedley to Keremeos; Highway 5<\/strong> has slippery sections between the Great Bear Snowshed and Coquihalla Summit; Highway 6EW<\/strong> has slippery sections from Vernon to Coldstream; and Highways 97A<\/strong> and 97B<\/strong> both have slippery sections throughout.<\/p>\n At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting no new snow but 30 centimetres over the past week; there has been 29 cm at Sun Peaks Ski Resort<\/a> since last past week; SilverStar Mountain Resort<\/a> has a fresh snow depth of 7 cm today; and Apex Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting 26 cm over the past week.<\/p>\n To contact a reporter for this story, email Dan Walton<\/a> or call 250-488-3065 or email the editor<\/a>.
