A home listed for sale for almost $14 million sold this spring in Kelowna.<\/p>\n

The listing agent’s office, Jane Hoffman Realty\/Coldwell Banker, would not reveal what the property sold for but did confirm that it sold this spring and is listed on their website as sold.<\/a><\/p>\n

The sale price has now been posted by B.C. Assessments at $11.33 million and it sold on Feb. 4, 2021. That makes it the second most expensive sale in the Okanagan. On Aug. 30, 2019, the home at 12990 Pixton Rd. in Lake Country sold for $12 million.<\/p>\n

The property, at 4800 Lakeshore Road, covers 11,000 square feet, has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and is on the lakefront with a licenced dock.<\/p>\n

“This home is dazzling with gorgeous lake views from nearly every angle,” the listing states. “Over 400 feet of pebbled shoreline with newly completed lakeside lounging deck.”<\/p>\n

The property is also billed as: “A horse enthusiast’s dream property. Picture perfect white picket fencing defines the oversized horse paddocks. The main horse barn has three separate stalls, tack room, living room, bath, laundry and horse washing area with heat. A large riding arena.”<\/p>\n

A posting in B.C. Business Magazine<\/a> shows the house was listed for sale for $13,995,000 in March 2015 by Hoffman. If it sold for that price, it would appear to be the most expensive home ever sold in the Okanagan.<\/p>\n

There is no database that lists prices of homes sold in B.C. and only realtors can search the Multiple Listing Services database to look for sale prices. Like many other high-end homes, this property was not listed in the MLS.<\/p>\n

B.C. Assessment does list sale prices once they get that data but that takes time and 4800 Lakeshore Road currently shows no sales in the past three years. <\/p>\n

The most expensive Okanagan residential property that has sold through the MLS system since 2013 was at 3898 Brown Road in West Kelowna, Brenda Ellis, a Vernon realtor with Chris Holm and Associates\/ReMax, told iNFOnews.ca, but it's an investment property.<\/p>\n

That 21-acre property has a 1.5 storey, five-bedroom home built in 1919, according to B.C. Assessments. The property was appraised at $432,000 as of July 31, 2020 with the house accounting for $21,000 of that.<\/p>\n

It was listed on the Hilbert and Crick\/Royal LePage website<\/a> for $20 million and sold on April 30 for $17.5 million, Ellis said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The next most expensive property Ellis could find in the database was actually two connected properties at 4020 Lakeshore Road.<\/p>\n

They sold in October 2015 for just over $12 million.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Together they total 2.9 acres and were assessed in July 2020 as being worth $11.9 million. But, again, that was not a home. They are still identified by B.C. Assessment as “vacant multifamily” properties.<\/p>\n

The most expensive home listed for sale in the Okanagan is a $55 million “Waterside Farm” at 12391 Pixton Road in Lake Country. It is also listed on Hoffman’s website.<\/p>\n

She also has a listing for 1-8888 Lakeshore Road in the "Golden Mile" area of Kelowna, south of Bertram Creek, for $21 million.<\/p>\n

It’s 25 acres with two homes and “two spectacular sites for a primary residence” along with 1,200 feet of shoreline, the listing reads.<\/p>\n

It was assessed by B.C. Assessment at $4.4 million. That shows one house built in 2005 with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and about 1,700 square feet.<\/p>\n
