The City of Kelowna has a new interactive tool that allows people to look at how the city is growing.<\/p>\n

The tool shows the status of downtown highrises, whether a development application has been submitted or approved or a building permit issued.<\/p>\n

It’s three dimensional and allows a user to zoom down to ground level, view the image from different angles, zoom out for a bigger view or type in a specific address.<\/p>\n

There’s even a setting that shows how shadows from the highrise structures will be cast through the day.<\/p>\n

“The city’s GIS team is excited to launch the initial version of a new 3D Viewer that will provide citizens with new tools to explore upcoming developments in Kelowna,” the city said in a Facebook post earlier this week.<\/p>\n

“It will allow you to explore and visualize changes in real time to elevation profiles, lines of sight and much more.<\/p>\n
