KELOWNA – In what can only be described as a joint operation, Kelowna RCMP say the have seized a significant amount of cannabis based a tip from Nova Scotia.<\/p>\n
Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Lesley Smith said in a press release police on Nov. 1 executed a warrant and seized 62 lbs. of dried cannabis from a legal medical growing operation on Paret Road.<\/p>\n
Police allege marijuana grown there under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes regulations was in fact, being sold to the Hells Angels organization.<\/p>\n
A second warrant executed the next day led to the seizure of another 2.6 lbs. of cannabis. The growing operation had 94 mature plants, Smith said.<\/p>\n
She says the raids were conducted based on information from the Nova Scotia Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.<\/p>\n
