SURREY — Police in British Columbia say a multi-year investigation into an organized crime case has uncovered a large stash of illicit drugs as well as $1.5 million in cash.

Investigators say they began looking into the interprovincial drug trafficking case in December 2024, making smaller drug seizures and gathering evidence before identifying five places to serve search warrants.

Then, on May 3, police arrested a commercial truck driver in Delta, B.C., during an alleged “drug-related exchange” where 10 one-kilogram cocaine bricks were seized.

The arrest touched off raids across Metro Vancouver at locations including houses, a condo and a storage facility, resulting in the seizure of 26 kilograms of cocaine and seven kilograms of methamphetamine.

The cash was also discovered at the sites along with five vehicles, a commercial tractor trailer and 16 firearms.

Police say criminal charges are expected in the case, and investigators are linking the seized items to people who police believe “pose a significant threat to public safety.”
