Mounties found cannabis plants, suspected cocaine, magic mushrooms, cash and a loaded handgun after executing a Cannabis Act search warrant near Salmon Arm late last week.<\/p>\n
In a press release, Salmon Arm RCMP said they executed a search warrant at a Silver Creek area property Friday, May 14, following a police investigation into an alleged illegal cannabis growing operation.<\/p>\n
As a result of the physical search of the property, police officers located and seized more than 100 cannabis plants, dried cannabis, more than 300 grams of suspected cocaine, more than 400 grams of suspected magic mushrooms, an undisclosed amount of cash and a loaded .40 calibre handgun, RCMP said.<\/p>\n
"A man investigators believe to be associated to the property in question was located and taken into police custody. He was released later that day pending further investigation," RCMP said in the release.<\/p>\n
"He now faces potential charges under the Cannabis Act, Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is expected to appear in Salmon Arm Law Courts at a later date."<\/p>\n
