Valley Voices Celebrates National Poetry Month
Downtown KelownaGreat RoomMatt Rader is an award-winning author of six volumes of poetry, a collection of stories and a book of nonfiction. His previous book of poems, Ghosthawk (2021), was shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize. He teaches Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and lives in Kelowna, BC. His newest book, Fine, will be launched here!
Harold Rhenisch has published 16 books of poetry, and as many books of fiction, translation and nonfiction. His most recent volumes of poetry are Landings: Poems from Iceland; Two Minds, a book of ghazals; and the poetic and photographic essay The Art of Haying: A Journey to Iceland. The Tree Whisperer, a book on the close relationship between tree pruning and poetry, appeared from Gaspereau Press in 2021. His book of Cascadian poems, The Salmon Shanties, is forthcoming this year from the University of Regina Press. He lives in Vernon BC.
