We are celebrating our 11 year anniversary in the Redmond community! Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far.We are excited to present our 2020 TEDxYouth@Redmond conference, “Redefining the Impossible” hosted virtually on our Youtube channel. Our conference aims to inspire the younger generation of leaders to strive to achieve their goals and explore new opportunities that could lead to future success, all while overcoming self-doubt, fear, and various obstacles. As the largest youth-run conference in the Pacific Northwest, our event will feature speakers ranging from youth entrepreneurs to environmental activists, both locally and internationally-based. Learn from a teen from Austin, Texas who rethought streetwear and fashion by starting his own sneaker nonprofit organization to impact hundreds of youth and adults alike.Callie Wharton (1:25pm-1:40pm PST)A devastating loss can also be a gateway to positive self-renewal and realization. Be inspired by an adolescent who had to build herself starting with the very basics after she lost a loved one, and listen to her message for anybody going through tough times.Hanson Dai (1:40pm-1:55pm PST)Having interacted with 500+ students and traveled to China teaching kids English, Hanson has learned a great deal about the importance of teaching and its impact on both him and his students. Tune in to hear about his unique experiences and perspectives from his many years of instructing.Maanit Goel (2:15pm-2:30pm PST)At only 14, Maanit set off to make a change for the sustainability of our planet. How? By implementing an initiative to change the paper used throughout his school district. Hear from a teen who placed nationally in ISEF (Intel International Science and Engineering Fair) after learning his passion for medicine is his greatest motivator.Audrey Gruian (3:35pm-3:50pm PST)Fascinated by robots and interested in building one? Join Audrey in her journey of building her own robot, ALV+IN, who has the intelligence and ability to quickly find a danger source nearby.Melissa Birchfield (3:50pm-4:05pm PST)Hear about Melissa’s journey in writing a book about human trafficking and ways to help. Listen about how to end the silence surrounding this topic and learn about various ways to help.
