Inversions for Rocket

Inversions for Rocket
Join Nikki Jinks and Marleigh Gaber in a workshop to explore Inversions and the Rocket Series of yoga.$20/personWithin a yoga class, there is little time to stop and break down all of the anatomy, alignment, foundational work, and approaches to take when it comes to inversions. In this workshop, you’ll learn an intelligent way to approach all four major inversions within a yoga practice that will start to result in real progression – no more flailing your legs in the air and hoping for the best. Then, we’ll put these skills into action as we jump into a Rocket Yoga practice together!Nikki Jinks – My favorite practice – Rocket Yoga – gave me a new perspective on my own capabilities as a student and as a teacher. The practice continues to surprise me with little break-thoughs along the way. I love the opportunity for beginners and advanced practitioners to move through the practice side-by-side – while learning arm balances, fun transitions, inversions, and deep twists. My Kinesiology degree and training in Rocket Yoga gives me lots of tools to help students find those “AH-HA!” moments in their practice and I can’t wait for us to find some together in this workshop. Marleigh, also a yoga teacher, is bringing her gymnastics skills and drills to the table and I can’t wait to learn some more tips and tricks from her!Marleigh Gaber- I am new to Rocket Yoga, but from what I have practiced, it is exactly the practice I have always been looking for. Although I have been practicing yoga for 7 years, I am a new vinyasa yoga teacher, completing my teacher training last September. My real background and expertise in inversions comes from years of competitive Gymnastics. I am now coaching the sport and seem to be upside down for the majority of my days..I hope to share my own perspective on inversions and maybe some new tips and tricks as to how I teach them on the daily.
