
Last week of summer will be hot in Kamloops and the Okanagan
After one of the coolest weekends of the summer, the skies are expected to clear today, Aug. 29, and temperatures will soar in Kamloops and the Okanagan this week.
Kelowna reached a high of 22.1 Celsius on Saturday and 25.2 yesterday after high temperatures that rarely fell below 30 C all month.
Kamloops dropped to a high of 24.6 on Saturday. The Environment Canada online weather site did not list the high for Kamloops yesterday.
For today, there was a 30% chance of showers in Kamloops early this morning before skies were forecast to clear off and be sunny for the rest of the week.
The high temperature in Kamloops is forecast at 30 C today, climbing to 34-35 C for the rest of the week before dropping slightly on the Labour Day long weekend.
For the Okanagan, skies are expected to clear this afternoon with a high of 29 C. That’s forecast to climb to 33 C by midweek with mostly sunny days.
