TRENDING NOW: Massive sturgeon spotted in Fraser River

A giant sturgeon has captivated the attention of online audiences after it was seen in the Fraser River earlier this month.

The white sturgeon is the largest and longest-lived species of freshwater fish in North America, according to the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society. It's one of the few year-round residents of fish in the Lower Fraser River.
