Lakeshore pharmacy robbed at gun point

KELOWNA – RCMP are looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy at gunpoint on Lakeshore Road Sunday.

An unknown male who appeared to be in his late 30’s entered the Shoppers Drug Mart with what appeared to be a black handgun at 8:25 p.m. He demanded money as well as prescription drugs.

The man fled the scene on foot with a small amount of cash and an undisclosed amount of pharmaceuticals.

A police dog was brought in to help locate the subject, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’10”, 170 lbs, medium build with a thin, scarred face. He was wearing a green jacket, light coloured blue jeans, a blue shirt and a black mask.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to call the Const. McBride at 250-762-3300. Information can also be given anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by visiting this website.
