June is a busy month for celebrations in the Okanagan and Kamloops.
Not only is it Pride month, there are 14 other designations for June.
Take a look at the numbers for what you may, or may not, be celebrating in Kamloops and the Okanagan in June:
- 7: Official Kelowna Pride events this month.
- 6: Official Kamloops Pride Week events.
- 23: Events on the Vernon Pride Week calendar.
- 6: Activities at the official block party for South Okanagan Similkameen Pride June 8.
- 5: Special days packed into June 18: Go Fishing Day, International Panic Day, International Picnic Day, Sushi Day and, of course, National Splurge Day.
- 14: Other monthly celebrations for June include Cucumber Month, Effective Communications Month and Aquarium Month.
- 2: Days people observe in June: Father’s Day and Summer Solstice.
- 21st: Of June is National Indigenous Peoples Day and there are events going on in Kamloops and the Okanagan.
