Truck flipped on its side after two-vehicle crash in Kamloops

A driver was issued a ticket after failing to stop at a stop sign last night, causing an accident on Columbia Street near Prince Charles Park.

Witnesses reported the accident at roughly 5:30 p.m. A red truck was flipped on its side after it was allegedly hit by a black SUV, said Sgt. Kelly Butler with the Kamloops RCMP.

No injuries were reported and the occupants of both vehicles were assessed at the scene by BC Ambulance crews, Butler said.

Alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash, and one driver was issued a ticket after failing to stop at the stop sign, she said.
