VIDEO: Calgary man survives spectacular car rally crash in Chile

A driver from Calgary took quite a tumble over the weekend while participating in an off-road rally in Chile. Even though this footage of 63-year-old Matt Cambell's crash looks quite spectacular, he made it out alive and is resting today, released over the weekend from a South American hospital. Only his helmet was damaged, according to messages on the team Facebook page.

Campbell is part of the team El Martillo Racing, and their webpage lists seven members, including principal driver Campbell; driver Luis Ramirez Jr., manager-navigator Nicolas Ambriz, navigator Carlos Olmos, support Craig Fairbanks, support Werner Leuenberger and media manager Luis Medina Arcadia.

The team's facebook page states the end over end crash caused irreparable damage to the car and took the team out of the race. Riding with Cambell were teammates Ambriz and Ramirez, who also survived.
