Midweek chance of flurries in Kamloops

The best weather of the week will likely happen today and tomorrow for Kamloops residents.

The rest of the week is expected to be cloudy with some cooler temperatures around midweek that could bring snow flurries to the city before things return to seasonal values by Friday.

It’s expected to be cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers this morning, Nov. 4, according to Environment Canada.

The clouds should give way to a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon with a high of 12 Celsius and a low of 4 C this evening. Fog patches may develop later in the evening.

Tomorrow should be a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 10  C and a low of -3 C.

Wednesday will see a drop in temperatures with a high of 2 C forecast and a 30 per cent chance of snow flurries. Wednesday night’s low is expected to dip to 1 C.

Thursday should see a return to more seasonal temperatures under cloudy skies. There is a 60 per cent chance of showers forecast with a high of 6 C. Overnight expect periods of rain with a low of 3 C.

Rain is expected to continue into Friday with a high of 8 C and a low of 5 C.

Saturday and Sunday should be mostly cloudy with highs of 9 C on Saturday and 8 C on Sunday.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 7 C and lows of 0 C.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. My goal in the news industry has always been to deliver accurate and interesting articles about local people and places. My interest in the profession is life long - from my earliest memories of grade school, I have enjoyed writing.
As an airborne geophysical surveyor I travelled extensively around the globe, conducting helicopter borne mineral surveys.
I also spent several years at an Okanagan Falls based lumber mill, producing glued-wood laminated products.
As a member of the Kaleden community, I have been involved in the Kaleden Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, and also serve as a trustee on the Kaleden Irrigation District board.
I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
Our two daughters, Meagan and Hayley, reside in Richmond and Victoria, respectively.
