SURREY, B.C. – Two people are uninjured after a small single-engine airplane crashed in Surrey, B.C.
RCMP and emergency services responded at around 10:30 a.m. to a private landing strip along the Serpentine River in the 4700-block of King George Boulevard.
Mounties say the small plane was in the process of taking off when it dipped to the right.
The landing gear caught in bushes at the end of the run and the plane nosed into the ground.
Both occupants of the plane, a pilot and passenger from Port Coquitlam, B.C., were uninjured.
Mounties say there was visible damage to the plane and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been advised.
