Two suspects in custody after early morning stabbing in downtown Vancouver

VANCOUVER – Two people are in custody after a stabbing in downtown Vancouver early Sunday morning.

Vancouver Police Const. Brian Montague says a man was stabbed at about 3:40 a.m. on Granville Street near Davie Street.

He says two suspects were taken into custody and a weapon was recovered.

The victim is expected to be in hospital for a couple of days, but his injuries are not believed to be serious or life-threatening.

Montague says police are still looking for witnesses who left the scene before officers were able to speak with them.

He says he does not have details such as the ages of the victim or suspects at this time.
