LONDON – Police have arrested a 32 year-old man in east London on suspicion of being a member or supporter of the Islamic State group.
Police said in a statement Saturday that the man was allegedly collecting information useful to someone preparing acts of terror and for encouraging terrorism. He was being questioned at a police station in south London.
The Islamic State group was banned in Britain last year.
