Dhane Smith scores five goals to lead Bandits past Stealth 14-13

LANGLEY, B.C. – Dhane Smith scored five goals and added three assists as the Buffalo Bandits held on to beat the Vancouver Stealth 14-13 on Saturday night in National Lacrosse League action.

Ryan Benesch also had an eight-point night for the Bandits (2-1), netting a hat trick. Joe Resetarits added three goals of his own while Jerome Thompson, Mitch Wilde and Brandon Goodwin rounded out the attack.

Tyler Digby and Lewis Ratcliff each had hat tricks for Vancouver (1-2). Rhys Duch and Joel McCready added two each with Cliff Smith, Justin Salt and Conrad Chapson also chipping in.

Anthony Cosmo made 27 saves for the win. Tyler Richards took the loss, turning aside 41 shots.

Buffalo went 1 for 5 on the power play with the Stealth converting three times on nine chances.
