Rally planned during Sagmoen trial in Vernon

VERNON – As with all of Curtis Wayne Sagmoen’s past appearances in Vernon Law Courts, a rally will take to the Vernon Law Courts steps Monday.

Jody Leon, rally organizer, said that participants will be at the courthouse at 9 a.m.

“I have organized for women and activists to participate from locally and as far away as the coast,” Leon said.

Inside the courthouse, a trial on charges of disguising face with the intent to commit an offence, intentionally discharging a firearm while reckless, use of a firearm committing an indictable offence, uttering threats, possession of a controlled substance, careless use or storage of a firearm, pointing a firearm and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose will begin.

A court-ordered publication ban is in effect for any information relating to the case revealed at previous hearings.

Sagmoen's trial is set for seven days.
