The Canadian Auto Workers union says it’s making gradual progress in its negotiations with Chrysler.
The CAW says after reaching a tentative contract agreement with Ford earlier this week, the focus has turned to getting similar deals at both Chrysler and General Motors.
The union describes the talks with Chrysler as constructive and says Chrysler executives seem to be more willing to reach an agreement than they were previously.
If at any point progress seriously stalls, the union can give 24 hours-notice strike notice.
The CAW has said that talks were also progressing with GM.
