Police recommend sexual assault charge against man convicted of similar offences

MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. – Mounties say they have recommended a sexual assault charge against a 61-year-old Maple Ridge, B.C., man has been convicted of similar offences.

Cpl. Alanna Dunlop says 61-year-old Richard Elbertson Richardson is suspected of sexually assaulting a 38-year-old man earlier this month.

She says Elbertson is already on probation for another conviction.

Police are recommending charges of failing to abide by a probation order in addition to the sex assault charge.
