QUEBEC – The Val d’Or Foreurs are heading to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s championship series after sweeping the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
The Foreurs finished a 3-0 sweep with a 6-3 win over the Sagueneens on Thursday night.
Nathan Legare had four goals for the Foreurs, while Justin Ducharme and Maxim Cajkovic added singles.
Pierrick Dube, Harrison Caines and Hendrix Lapierre scored for the Sagueneens.
The Foreurs will face the winner of the Charlottetown Islanders-Victoriaville Tigres series in the final. Those teams are tied at 1-1.
