NEW YORK, N.Y. – Cablevision customers will be getting some more football.
The NFL Network and Cablevision announced a deal Thursday to bring the network to that cable system starting Friday. The network, which carries a series of Thursday night games, has carriage deals with eight of the nine largest cable or satellite companies with the exception of Time Warner.
Cablevision customers will also be able to purchase separately NFL RedZone, a Sunday afternoon channel that provides quick highlights of scoring plays around the league.
Cablevision’s customer base is in the New York City area.
