New York City police say they had to use a stun gun to subdue a man who was menacing people at a Brooklyn park with swords in both hands.
The Daily News reports (http://nydn.us/2a9TFex ) police responded to Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick around 8 p.m. Monday. Authorities say about 50 people pointed out the suspect, who ran from the park.
Sgt. Brendan Ryan says officers surrounded the 56-year-old suspect when he unsheathed two swords and told them, “You’re going to have to kill me.”
Police fired a stun gun and took the man into custody. They say they also found a machete and two smaller knives in a duffel bag.
