Viterra says its Everi vegetable oil terminal in the Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv has been damaged by a missile strike.
The grain handler, which has significant connections to Canada, says the Everi terminal handles vegetable oil used for human food consumption.
It says there were no fatalities, but one employee suffered minor burns and received medical attention.
Viterra says local emergency services were on site.
The attack comes as the war in Ukraine caused by Russia’s invasion continues.
Viterra is owned by Glencore, CPP Investments and B.C. Investment Management Corp.
