MONTREAL – The Groupe Yvon Michel confirmed Wednesday that Adonis Stevenson will defend his WBC light heavyweight title against Ukraine’s Oleksandr Gvozdyk on Dec. 1.
The bout will take place at the Centre Videotron in Quebec City.
It will be a 10th title defence for Stevenson (29-1-1) and the 40-year-old Montrealer’s first since a majority draw last May against Sweden’s Badou Jack.
Gvozdyk, 31, is Stevenson’s mandatory challenger.
He won bronze at the 2012 Olympics in London.
