Sweden: Doctor suspected in vast case of child porn, rape

COPENHAGEN – Swedish prosecutors say they will charge a medical doctor who is suspected of sexual violence, misconduct and child rape in a case involving 52 minors and 18 adults.
The Swedish Prosecution Authority said Monday the suspect has been held in pre-trial jail since Dec. 29 and chiefly committed the crimes in his capacity as a doctor across Sweden and via an Internet-based medical service.
It says the crimes, which also include sexual misconduct and child pornography, took place between 2015 and 2017.
Prosecutors said the formal charges would be presented Wednesday.
No other details were immediately available about the case.
