From TV to the Internet: What NBC is showing and where from the games

NBC is offering an unprecedented 5,535 hours of Olympics coverage on TV and online. That includes live streaming of all events and medal ceremonies for the first time. NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast Corp., now says it will break even rather than take a loss as ad sales and ratings are stronger than expected.

Here’s how the coverage breaks down:

— NBC broadcast network. 272.5 hours, swimming, gymnastics, track and field and other sports beginning most weekdays at 10 a.m. ET/PT and on weekends as early as 5 a.m. ET/PT.

— NBC Sports Network. 292.5 hours, mostly team sports involving U.S. athletes.

— CNBC. 73 hours, mostly boxing.

— MSNBC. 155.5 hours, soccer and other long-form sports.

— Bravo. 56 hours, mostly tennis.

— Telemundo. 173 hours of Spanish-language programming.

— Soccer and basketball specialty channels. 770 hours combined.

— 3-D channel. 242 hours.
