Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up 10 cents, or 1.87 per cent, to $5.44 on 7.9-million shares.
Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Up $1.21, or 5.31 per cent, to $23.98 on 7.8-million shares.
Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up four cents, or 0.68 per cent, to $5.94 on 6.8-million shares.
Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Down seven cents, or 1.32 per cent, to $5.23 on six-million shares.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (TSX:POT). Fertilizer. Down five cents, or 0.24 per cent, to $21.08 on 5.3-million shares.
B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down three cents, or 0.84 per cent, to $3.54 on five-million shares.

Empire Company Ltd. (TSX:EMP.A). Retail. Down 64 cents, or 3.10 per cent, to $19.98 on 643,793 shares. Empire Co. Ltd. said Thursday it earned $65.4 million in its latest quarter compared with $108.8 million a year ago as its stores in Western Canada continued to struggle. The parent company of the Sobeys grocery store chain says the profit for the quarter ended Aug. 6 totalled 24 cents per diluted share, down from 39 cents per diluted share a year ago.
