Chelsea rewards Roberto Di Matteo with 2-year contract as fulltime manager
LONDON – Robert Di Matteo has signed a two-year contract to be full-time manager of Chelsea.
The deal was announced by Chelsea on Wednesday just three weeks after the Italian guided the Blues to their first Champions League title.
Di Matteo replaced Andre Villas-Boas as interim manager for the final 11 weeks of the season. He led the club to the FA Cup trophy and the penalty shootout win over Bayern Munich in the Champion League final.
