64-year-old charged with committing indecent act at Lake Country water park

KELOWNA – A 64-year old Central Okanagan man has been charged with committing an indecent act while parked at a Lake Country waterpark last June.

John Charles Allan, born 1952, has been charged with one count of indecent exhibition in a public place, after a member of the public confronted him at Swalwell Park around 4 p.m. June 20, 2017.

A media release from RCMP says only that a "confrontation… turned physical." A post on Facebook suggests a member of the public punched him after the suspect was seen videotaping himself watching the children.

Allan has no criminal record in B.C. and was released on bail. He will appear before a judge in Kelowna in April.
