VIDEO: Over a dozen Bernese mountain dogs descend on North Okanagan ski resort

VERNON – Thirteen furry people magnets created quite the buzz at Silver Star Mountain Resort near Vernon earlier this week.

The Bernese mountain dogs, known for their love of mountains and snow, happily bounded through the resort village with their owners on Thursday, Jan. 4, according to a media release.

A video of the midday surprise uploaded to the resort’s Facebook page has gone viral with over 29,000 views so far.

“It’s amazing what can happen when you bring 13 Bernese mountain dogs into the village,” Oscar Gordon with Silver Star says in the release. “They acted as some sort of magnet to everyone nearby.”

Silver Star actually sells a pass for dogs with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the B.C. SPCA.

The owners of the Bernese mountain dogs made the surprise visit to the resort, just because, the resort says.
